In this issue, the efforts of PESFOR-W, a European research network on "water source conservation PES" is explained. PESFOR-W explores afforestation and forest conservation as a measure against water pollution by agriculture and other means, as part of the NBS (Nature-based Solution). This issue focuses on the knowledge of the pollutant reduction effect of afforestation, the design of the PES scheme, and successfully implemented cases. This issue concludes the two-year series of articles in Green Power magazine, "From the World's Forests to SDGs." Those who are interested in reading the whole contents, please kindly refer to a book titled: "From the World's Forests to SDGs - Coexisting with and Connecting with Forests" which was published by Sophia University Press in July, 2022.
