Sophia Forest Citizens' Lecture 4th (October, 2022)

It seems that the bad weather has continued for a while in the Karuizawa area, but today we were blessed with sunny skies and were able to enjoy the autumn forest with warm sunshine. Today, everyone was cheering when they spotted Hanaiguchi, Mukitake, Kuritake, Hiratake, and various other mushrooms of Iguchi'. After receiving the explanation by the forest instructor that mushrooms are largely divided into saprophytic fungi and mycorrhizal fungi, everyone came to understand the distinction. In addition, everyone was impressed by the explanation by the Special Advisor about the history of the large oak tree that was divided into six trees and sprouted up like this.
